Portugal 1981-85

In front of the church there is a stage and a band playing rock. A girls sings Born in the USA but doesn’t believe it even herself. The audience listens politely.

Then she starts an endless sad Portuguese melody. The crowd wavers with the music.  Some have tears in their eyes. The singer and audience are one.
